On the morning of June 1, after 1.5 days of meetings at Dien Hong Hall, the National Assembly concluded the discussion session on the supplementary assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the State budget in 2022; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the State budget in the first months of 2023.

The discussion session had 75 National Assembly deputies speaking, 13 deputies participating in the debate, 6 Ministers and heads of sectors explained and clarified issues of concern to National Assembly deputies.

The discussion atmosphere was lively, frank and responsible, with rich, comprehensive and profound opinions on the country's economic and social issues and issues of interest to voters and National Assembly deputies.

National Assembly deputies highly appreciated the efforts of the entire political system, the entire Party, the entire army, the entire people, the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government, all levels and sectors, and acknowledged the great contributions of the entire nation, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends to overcome difficulties and challenges in 2022, and our country's economy achieved quite comprehensive results in many fields.

The majority of National Assembly deputies agreed with many contents stated in the Government's report and the inspection reports of National Assembly agencies on socio-economic situation, State budget in 2022, the first months of 2023 and the policy of investing additional charter capital for the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.

At the discussion session on the morning of May 31,Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education Dang Xuan Phuong- The delegate of Nghe An emphasized that the 5th session of the National Assembly is taking place with the expectation of voters and people nationwide about the work that needs to be done and must be done more urgently and more drastically by the political system.

That is not only a requirement from the fight against corruption and negativity; it is a requirement to overcome shortcomings and limitations in law enforcement; it is an urgent need to overcome the disease of avoidance, fear of responsibility, and apathy that is spreading rapidly in the civil service.

According to the delegate of Nghe An, the most urgent and convincing thing at this time is the right way to solve the country's economic problems, how to implement socio-economic policies with reasonable consideration between short-term and long-term goals. On that basis, delegate Dang Xuan Phuong raised many recommendations at the forum.

Concluding the discussion, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai said: The National Assembly Standing Committee will direct relevant agencies of the Government, the inspection agency, and relevant agencies to study and absorb the opinions expressed in the hall and in the group to include important contents on socio-economics, the State budget, and the policy of investing in additional charter capital for Agribank in the General Resolution of the session to send to delegates for comments and submit to the National Assembly for consideration and approval.
