Quy Hop: Ready for the big festival
(Baonghean.vn) - There are only 2 weeks left until the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term. Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and organizations from the district to the communes and towns in Quy Hop are urgently implementing steps to prepare for the election.
Village elder Vi Van Dau, 93 years old in Ban Vi, Bac Son highland commune, feels very excited because his vote will contribute to electing worthy representatives to represent the will and aspirations of the people to make correct decisions to further develop the economy, culture, and society, and to further renew the village.

The election preparation work of Bac Son commune is also being urgently implemented by the Party Committee and the government according to regulations. In this election, Bac Son commune is structured with 20 commune-level People's Council delegates. After the third consultation conference on April 15, Bac Son commune has finalized the list of 33 delegates to elect 20 and was structured to elect 1 delegate as the People's Council delegate of Bac Son-Nam Son cluster.
Bac Son commune has posted a list of 1,351 voters in 7 polling stations, prepared main ballot boxes, voter cards and 7 additional ballot boxes because the people live sparsely, in huts, or are sick, and the polling stations will bring them to their homes to facilitate voters to vote.

To prepare well for the election, the Quy Hop District Election Steering Committee established 4 sub-committees and 2 units to assist the Steering Committee to focus on leading the main tasks such as: Propaganda for the election; Organizing the election; Handling petitions, complaints and denunciations about the election; Ensuring security and safety for the election...
Up to this point, the political security situation in the district is stable, no complicated developments have occurred, and the Steering Committee has not received any complaints or denunciations related to the election work.
After the third round of negotiations, the list of candidates included 67 to elect 40 members to the District People's Council. The District Election Committee issued more than 96,400 voter cards, 168 timesheets, 1,506 copies of the law on election of National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels - Law on organization of local government; 10,450 biographies, application forms, CVs, asset declarations, receipts of documents and some other documents to distribute to 21 communes, towns and agencies in the whole district. |

From the afternoon of May 4, Quy Hop district organized for candidates to meet voters to campaign for the election. According to the plan, the whole district will have at least 3 meetings with voters of National Assembly deputies, 4 meetings with voters with Provincial People's Council deputies, 39 meetings with district People's Council deputies and 543 meetings with commune-level People's Council deputies to campaign for the election according to the law.
