Quynh Luu launched a competition for families to save electricity.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 8, in Quynh Thach commune, Quynh Luu district, a launching ceremony was held to implement the emulation movement "Family saves electricity in 2018".
The emulation movement "Family saves electricity in 2018" is a practical activity to implement the national target program on economical and efficient use of energy launched by the Northern Power Corporation in 27 provinces and cities in the North.
The program's goal focuses on promoting and mobilizing people in all localities to form habits and skills to use electricity economically, creating a ripple effect in the community towards the goal of "Every household saves electricity, every person saves electricity".

This year's competition program will last 6 months, applied to 2,600 households using electricity from May to October 2018 in Quynh Thach commune.
The criteria for recognizing the title of Electricity Saving Family in 2018 are that the families have registered to participate in the contest according to the registration form of the Organizing Committee and for 6 consecutive months, the households must ensure to reduce at least 10% of electricity output compared to the same period last year, as well as commit to maintaining the electricity saving output in the following months.

The Organizing Committee will vote, evaluate, and award 33 "Energy-saving families in 2018" awards and 5 "Typical electricity-saving families" awards as well as rewards for the winning households.
After the launching ceremony, Quynh Luu Electricity and related departments and localities signed agreements with households, agencies and businesses in Quynh Thach commune on electricity saving. It is expected that by the end of 2018, there will be an assessment, summary and reward for units and individuals who have successfully implemented this emulation program./.
