Launching the first 'running combined with trash collection' club in Vietnam in Vinh City, Nghe An

Realizing that Vietnam is a country with many positive activities towards environmental protection, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has chosen Vietnam as one of the first places to initiate the International Green City project.
In particular, Vinh city, Nghe An province is the first unit in the country to receive project support to establish a pilot Plogging club model called: Plogging Club - Green Vinh City with members from the Vietnam Youth Union of Vinh city.
This is considered an important start to create a strong impression to spread to other provinces and cities across the country.

After presenting the decision to establish the club with representatives of WWF, Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee Le Sy Chien hoped that through the activities of the model, it would create strong "pushes" to raise awareness among young people and people in practicing sports associated with environmental protection.
At the same time, the club will promote the pioneering, voluntary and creative role of young people in propagating and participating in volunteer activities, building urban civilization at the grassroots level.
The Plogging Club - Green Vinh City consists of 32 members, chaired by Mr. Nguyen Ba Thang - Deputy Secretary of Vinh City Youth Union. The two Vice Chairmen are Mr. Tran Quang Nhat - Vice President of the City Youth Union and Ms. Bui Thi Hue - Specialist of Vinh City Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

Plogging is a movement that calls on participants to jog and pick up trash along the way. The movement was initiated in Sweden and after a short time has spread strongly to many countries around the world.
In Vietnam, over the past year, the Swedish Embassy has launched many programs to respond to this movement in many public places and has attracted thousands of union members, youth and social activist groups to participate.
