(Baonghean.vn) - In the days leading up to Tet, people's consumption needs have increased to their peak, most ATMs in the districts have become overloaded and congested, requiring long queues to withdraw money.
According to the reporter's records, this morning (February 1), ATMs in Dien Chau town were overloaded. The line of people waiting to withdraw money was getting longer and longer, and by noon the number of people had not decreased.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, a worker at Thap Hong Ky Industrial Park, said indignantly: "When we received the news that we had our salaries, my sisters and I were very excited, but it didn't last long before we had to struggle and jostle each other at the ATM to withdraw money. I was too weak to squeeze in, so I had to mobilize my daughter to stand in line instead to save a spot."
Not only in Dien Chau, ATMs in Cau Giat town (Quynh Luu) also experienced similar situations. Not only did people queue outside, but inside the cash withdrawal room, there were also crowds of 3-5 people per machine.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, a resident of Cau Giat town, sighed: "I've been in line for 30 minutes now but it's still not my turn to withdraw money. The number of people withdrawing money is getting bigger and bigger. Even though I was conscious of coming early, I didn't expect that there were people who had already lined up."
The main reason for the overload is the large number of people withdrawing money. In addition, the number of machines in the districts is less than in the city. In addition, some people withdraw money in large amounts, have to withdraw many times, causing those who withdraw later to have to wait longer.

According to observations, although the number of people waiting in line to withdraw money is quite large, in general, the ATMs of banks are quite orderly, the jostling, pushing, causing chaos while withdrawing money only happens for a short time during rush hour. All ATMs are operating normally, without technical problems.
Mr. Tu, a security guard at a bank branch in Dien Chau, said that ATM overload happens every year. We always remind customers to maintain order, park their vehicles neatly, and also post notices so that when the ATM has problems, customers can contact us for timely repairs.

To reduce pressure on ATMs and save time, many banks recommend that cardholders do not concentrate on transactions at crowded ATMs, and can arrange withdrawal times during off-peak hours. Some branches also encourage people to bring their ID cards to withdraw money directly at the transaction counter.
