Chasing in the forest at night, capturing a group of subjects using luxury cars to transport drugs

On August 21, Quy Chau District Police said that the unit had just coordinated with related forces to successfully break up a major drug case, arresting 3 subjects who were transporting a large quantity of drugs on National Highway 48A, from Que Phong District (Nghe An) to the lowlands for consumption.

Previously, through the situation, the drug crime prevention detectives of Quy Chau District Police discovered an illegal drug trafficking ring led by subjects from other provinces. Taking professional measures, at around 10:00 p.m. on August 16, the detectives received information that the subjects were traveling in two cars with out-of-province license plates and staying at a hotel in Kim Son town, Que Phong district, then conducting drug transactions and bringing the drugs to the lowlands for consumption.

On the evening of August 17, they will leave the hotel to move downstream, along National Highway 48A passing through Quy Chau area.

TFrom the above information, the Task Force has planned and implemented arrest plans carefully and meticulously, ensuring absolute safety for the entire force and surrounding people.

At around 9:30 p.m. on August 17, on National Highway 48A in Chau Hoi Commune, Quy Chau District, the Traffic Police Task Force of the District Police signaled to stop a Mazda 3 car with license plate 73A - 082.48 for administrative inspection and arrest. Moving immediately after, a Fortuner car with license plate 73A - 129.81 immediately backed up and turned around to flee in an attempt to escape.

However, they could not have imagined that all their actions were already part of the arrest plan of the Quy Chau District Police. Accordingly, a task force pursued the car. At this time, on small, steep roads, from Chau Hoi commune to the inner communes of Quy Chau district, a spectacular chase took place in the dark of night.

As planned, at the end of Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district, another working group on ambush and blockade duty coordinated with the working group chasing and successfully intercepting and controlling the group of subjects sitting in the above car.

The arrested subjects include: Ngo Thanh Long (born in 1985), residing in Nam Ly ward; Nguyen Thanh Long (born in 1985), residing in Loc Ninh commune and Ngo Viet Thanh Vinh (born in 1996), residing in Bac Ly ward, both in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province. The seized exhibits include: 12,000 synthetic drug pills, 2 cars, 1 sword and 5 mobile phones.

At the Quy Chau District Police Investigation Agency, the three suspects initially confessed to their crimes. The case is currently under further investigation and expansion.
