(Baonghean.vn) - Hang Bua is a natural beauty spot located in the "Pha En" limestone mountain range in Chau Tien commune, Quy Chau district, 170km northwest of Vinh city. Hang Bua festival is one of the biggest festivals of the ethnic minorities of the district in particular and the Northwest region of Nghe An in general.

This year, the Hang Bua Festival will be held from29/2-2/3/2024(ie February 20, 2024, January of the year of the Dragon). The ceremony is held at Chieng Ngam Temple and the festival is held at Hang Bua, Bua village, Chau Tien commune.
To carry out the tasks according to the plan of the People's Committee of Quy Chau district, Chau Tien commune has focused the entire political system to ensure the requirements are well met. Mr. Sam Thanh Hoai - Chairman of the People's Committee of Chau Tien commune said: "Up to this point, the preparations for the festival have basically been completed. The commune mobilized the Youth Union to clean up and clear the festival area. On the main roads of the commune, banners and slogans have been hung to welcome friends and visitors from near and far. In addition, the commune has established sub-committees to prepare for the festival's contents such as camping, performing arts practice, sports practice; coordinate with the district police to plan to ensure security and order, arrange parking spots for visitors throughout the festival season...".

Before the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, Quy Chau district has organized the hanging of billboards, posters, banners, flags, landscape decorations, flower carpets, ornamental plants... Especially this year, Hang Bua Festival will have many innovations to create a joyful and impressive festival atmosphere in the hearts of visitors from near and far.
Mr. Le Thanh Ha - Vice Chairman of Quy Chau District People's Committee, said: "This year, the district has implemented landscape renovation in Bua Cave and Chieng Ngam Temple. The cave has invested in more electric lights and colored bulbs than previous years; outside the cave, along the path, many colorful flowers are planted; at the same time, check-in points are created for visitors to visit and take souvenir photos at the festival.
Along with that, the district organized a number of experiential activities and many folk games for people and tourists to participate in; invested in the quality of the performances on the opening night of the festival. In addition, the district focused on exploiting the cultural identity values associated with community tourism in Hoa Tien village, so that visitors to the festival could experience it, on the basis of continuing to build and form attractive tourist tours in the district...".
This year, Quy Chau district also focuses on promoting the socialization of the festival, calling for the participation and contributions of units, businesses and people. In addition to preparing the content of the programs, the organizing committee also focuses on security, order and traffic safety, ensuring that people feel secure when participating in the festival.
Bold festival culture
Bua Cave is one of the archaeological sites of Nghe An province; it consists of two entrances: Big Cave (Tham Om) in the North and Small Cave (Tham Noi) in the Southeast. In front of the cave is a wide valley full of green trees and bustling villages. Right in front of the big cave are two rocks shaped like two frogs lying down. Inside the large cave are many stalagmites and stalactites with vivid shapes...
According to ancient legends, Hang Bua is also associated with the faithful love between the beautiful, beautiful singing girl Ni and the gentle, honest Ban. Therefore, every spring, young men and women in the area invite each other into the cave to confide and pray for good things for the couple's happiness...

The Hang Bua Festival begins with rituals imbued with the spiritual culture of the Thai people, including the offering ceremony, the great offering ceremony to inform the gods and those who have contributed to building the village and establishing the village. The ceremony is organized and performed very solemnly by the Mo Ca with full traditional offerings right at the Chieng Ngam Temple (Ta Bo Temple) on a high mountain in the festival area.
In addition to games such as throwing con, jumping on bamboo poles, carving rows, gongs, singing nhuon, xuoi, giao duyen, beauty contests in mountainous areas..., competitions such as Thai folk story telling contest, silk spinning and weaving contest, Xang Khan ritual performance, wine making techniques, Thai writing contest, incense wrapping... attract a large number of locals and tourists from all over.

The district strives to have nearly 20,000 visitors to the Hang Bua festival and other tourist attractions in the area by 2024”.
