Thanh Hoa Stadium - 'promising land' of Nghe An football team
(Baonghean.vn) - Because Vinh Stadium does not meet VPF's competition standards, the Nghe An team has asked Thanh Hoa Club to lend Thanh Hoa Stadium to use as their home field for upcoming matches in the V.League and the National Cup in 2020. This is a reasonable choice for SLNA.
Recently (April 24), the Board of Directors of Thanh Hoa Club agreed to let SLNA use its stadium as their home stadium in upcoming matches in the V.League and National Cup this season.
The successful borrowing of Thanh Hoa stadium helps SLNA to travel more conveniently because it only takes about 3 hours for coach Ngo Quang Truong and his team to complete the 140 km journey from Vinh city to Thanh Hoa city. Thus, the Nghe An team will not have to concentrate in Thanh Hoa, but will move there about 2-3 days before each match to get used to the field, weather conditions...

Although they had to return empty-handed more often, it can still be affirmed that the Nghe An team often played well on Thanh Hoa's field. In fact, there were many matches where SLNA lost points due to the referees' wrong decisions. The first leg of the 2016 V.League (2-2 draw) was a typical example. It was thanks to the incorrect penalty call by referee Ha Anh Chien in the final minutes of the match (the foul point was outside the 16m50 box) that Thanh Hoa Club was able to get a lucky draw.

It is very likely that with the long-standing friendship between the two teams and between the two fan clubs, Thanh Hoa football fans will come to the stadium to enthusiastically cheer for their neighbor team (when the stadiums in V.League 2020 are open to spectators).
