Production of unburnt bricks using new technology
(Baonghean.vn) - With the advantage of input materials, Nghe An was chosen to implement the project "Application of scientific and technological advances in the production of cement bricks - aggregates from available materials in Nghe An". In which, Giang Son Construction Joint Stock Company located in Quynh Giang commune (Quynh Luu) is the unit in charge of implementing this project.
AVAILABLE POTENTIAL
Nghe An is a province with great advantages in input materials; including 171 construction stone quarries, 126 sand and gravel quarries, mainly distributed along major rivers, with a total exploration resource of approximately 108.256 million m³. According to the province's orientation, it will focus on prioritizing the development of construction materials and unburnt bricks to protect the environment, fully exploiting raw materials from mineral exploitation, processing, and industrial production activities in the locality to develop sustainable industries and occupations and promote the potential and advantages of the locality.

The project “Application of scientific and technological advances in the production of cement bricks - aggregates from available materials in Nghe An” led by Giang Son Construction Joint Stock Company is part of the program “Supporting the application and transfer of scientific and technological advances to promote socio-economic development in rural, mountainous and ethnic minority areas, period 2016 - 2025” of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The project is implemented with the support of technology application from Gia Hung Equipment Company Limited.
According to the assessment of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Giang Son Construction Joint Stock Company is one of the units with experience in the production of unburnt bricks. At the same time, it has the ability to mobilize capital outside the State budget to implement the project. The goal of the project is to successfully apply new technology in the production of unburnt bricks, reduce environmental pollution and save fuel with available materials such as: sand, crushed stone, cement, fly ash...; build a model of commodity production to serve the socio-economic development of Nghe An province.

At the same time, receive and master technological processes, mix materials suitable for local materials; automatic production, operate equipment lines; produce, maintain, package into standard pressed products; maintain equipment lines, construction technology using unburnt cement aggregate bricks.
OUTSTANDING ADVANTAGES
After 4 years of implementation (2019-2022), the project has exceeded its set goals, contributing to creating a source of environmentally friendly raw materials, serving the high construction needs in the province. With support and professional guidance from management units under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Nghe An Department of Science and Technology, Giang Son Construction Joint Stock Company has organized and implemented the project in accordance with regulations and progress; Coordinated with the technology transfer unit, Gia Hung Equipment Co., Ltd. (Hanoi) to organize and complete the proposed contents, receiving 5 technological processes to ensure novelty, suitability and ease of application in Quynh Luu district. The model of producing unburnt cement-based aggregate bricks from available raw materials in Nghe An province after installation and adjustment has been put into good production, the brick products have quality standards, the bricks ensure size and aesthetics.

“After the project implementation period, the company has completed and put into stable application in production suitable and effective material combinations with local and available raw material sources, ensuring reasonable production costs; Invested in the complete installation of technological equipment lines and put them into stable operation; Trained and transferred production technology processes to staff and workers to master the processes and operate equipment well; In particular, trial production of batch 0: 2,000,000 bricks, took samples for testing to meet TCVN 6477:2016 standards and successfully built a model for the production of unburnt bricks with a capacity of 22 million bricks/year, the products produced met TCVN 6477:2016 standards”.
With the technology of producing unburnt bricks based on the principle of horizontal two-way static hydraulic pressing without vibration to shape the bricks, Giang Son Construction Joint Stock Company in the brick production process has not caused smoke and dust pollution into the air. At the same time, this type of brick also has advantages such as: flat surface, uniform size, saving mortar, good sound insulation and load-bearing capacity, good strength and durability when soaked in water, less broken, thus ensuring the quality of construction works are durable, beautiful, safe, reducing investment costs.
In addition, the technology of producing unburnt bricks from sand and crushed stone with the main raw materials being cement and available aggregates, these products have outstanding advantages in form and quality, low investment, production and price costs. Unburnt brick products have the same shape and size as traditional burnt bricks, therefore, do not change the usage habits of the majority of people.
