The 6am news on February 1 of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that there were 2 new cases of Covid-19 in the community, both recorded in Hanoi.

- As of 6:00 a.m. on February 1: Vietnam has a total of 933 Covid-19 cases due to domestic infection, of which the number of new cases from January 27 to present: 240 cases.
- From 6:00 p.m. January 31 to 6:00 a.m. February 1: 2 new cases, including 0 imported cases that were quarantined immediately.
Information on new cases: 02 NEW CASES are community infections in Hanoi. Specifically:
- CASE 1818 (BN1818) has an address in Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi city, female, 40 years old, has a history of contact with BN1723.
- CASE 1819 (BN1819) has an address in Cau Giay district, Hanoi city, female, 48 years old, attended the wedding of BN1814's family in Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province.
Test results on January 31, 2021 at Hanoi Center for Disease Control were positive for SARS-CoV-2.
Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility.
Regarding Patient 1818, Hanoi has issued an urgent notice to find people who went to Thanh Huyen hair salon in Nam Tu Liem from January 26-28, 2021 to self-isolate at home and notify the nearest medical facility.
