On the morning of May 2, Vietnam had no new Covid-19 cases, 16 days without community infections
As of 6am on May 2, Vietnam has recorded no new cases of Covid-19. According to the Ministry of Health, 219 out of 270 patients have been cured.
The Ministry of Health announced, fromApril 16 - May 2 (16 days), Vietnam had no new cases of Covid-19 in the community.
The total number of cases nationwide is 270, of which 219 have been cured.
Total number of people in close contact and entering from epidemic areas being monitored for health (quarantined): 30,517, of which:
- Concentrated quarantine at hospital: 244 people.
- Centralized quarantine at other facilities: 5,540 people.
- Quarantine at home or place of residence: 24,733 people.
According to the report of the Treatment Subcommittee, National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control:
- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 for the first time: 9 cases.
- Number of cases testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 twice or more: 7 cases.
