This morning (April 5), the results of the election of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly were announced.
General Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, and Mr. Phung Quoc Hien, member of the Party Central Committee, were nominated to be elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
Secretary General of the National Assembly Nguyen Hanh Phuc said that because the vote counting for the election of two Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly and seven members of the National Assembly Standing Committee had not been completed on the afternoon of April 4, the results would be announced on the morning of April 5.
Previously, on the afternoon of April 4, after listening to the discussion results at the National Assembly Delegation and explaining and accepting the opinions of National Assembly deputies on the expected personnel, National Assembly deputies voted to approve the list and secretly elected 2 Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly and 7 members of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

General Do Ba Ty - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and Mr. Phung Quoc Hien - Member of the Party Central Committee were nominated to be elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
The National Assembly also elected 7 members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, including: Mr. Ha Ngoc Chien (Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Council); Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh (Vice Chairman of the Committee on Social Affairs); Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai (Vice Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee); Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai (Vice Chairman of the Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children); Ms. Le Thi Nga (Vice Chairman of the Judicial Committee); Mr. Tran Van Tuy (Vice Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee) and Mr. Vo Trong Viet (Senior General, Deputy Minister of National Defense)./.
