On the evening of August 21 and early morning of August 22, heavy rain occurred in the border district of Ky Son. The consequences were landslides and rockslides, causing traffic congestion on the road from Na Ngoi commune to Muong Ai commune, Ky Son district.

A large amount of rock and fallen trees blocked a section of road in Keo Bac village, Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district, making it impossible for cars and motorbikes to pass. Pedestrians could only wade through the mud across the landslide.
