Landslide on National Highway 7C poses potential traffic safety risk
Due to the impact of heavy rain last weekend, National Highway 7C through Do Luong and Tan Ky districts has experienced many serious landslides, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.
At the scene, a large landslide occurred on National Highway 7C through Giang Son Dong Commune (Do Luong District). A large amount of rock and soil from the cliff poured onto the road, including many large rocks.
According to Tran Van Tuan, a driver who had just passed through this area, rocks and soil were still hanging high above and could continue to fall at any time, directly threatening people and vehicles. Observations showed that the cliff here continued to show signs of landslides, dragging down acacia trees, lying haphazardly on the mountainside.

In Ky Tan commune (Tan Ky district), soil from the cliff was washed away by water, creating a thick layer of mud that overflowed the drainage ditch and spread onto the road. This situation hindered traffic and increased the risk of slipping and accidents, especially at night or when visibility was limited.

Although some sections of the road through Tan Ky district have been reinforced with a system of stone cages, the risk of landslides remains high due to the high cliff terrain and the complicated weather conditions. In this situation, the authorities need to urgently carry out remedial work, clear fallen rocks and soil, and install warning signs to ensure the safety of road users.
