(Baonghean.vn) - After the people and Nghe An Newspaper reported on the situation of fishermen ignoring the prohibition sign, anchoring their boats and damaging Dien Kim Bridge (Dien Chau), up to now, the situation of anchoring and anchoring has basically ended.

Present at Dien Kim Bridge (Dien Chau) on March 11, the reporter noted that there were no more boats moored at the foot of the bridge, and the bridge body was no longer being stretched or extended like it was a month ago. Most boats have moved their moorings to the nearby mangrove forest area.

Mr. Pham Xuan Bang - Chairman of Dien Kim Commune People's Committee said: "After Nghe An Newspaper reported on the issue of fishermen mooring boats and damaging the bridge in Dien Chau, we immediately coordinated with Dien Bich Commune to increase propaganda and remind fishermen not to anchor or moor boats in the Dien Kim bridge area. If in the past, at peak times, there were 30-40 boats moored at the same time, now this situation no longer exists."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai, a resident of Dien Van commune (Dien Chau) happily said: “In the past, it was very difficult to go through here because the boats were tied up, causing the bridge to shake dangerously, not to mention the traffic jam when fishermen stood on the bridge to unload raw materials to their boats. However, in the past month, this situation has not appeared much, people can travel across the bridge very conveniently…”

It is known that Dien Bich commune has also directed the commune police to coordinate with the Border Guard force to inspect and review violations. If it is the first violation, the force will only warn and propagate, but if it is a repeat violation, it will be strictly handled according to regulations. The locality is also recommending that all levels speed up the construction of boat anchorage areas to ensure convenient entry and exit for fishermen.

Discussing this issue, Mr. Le The Hieu - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dien Chau district said: Dien Kim bridge connects Dien Kim and Dien Bich communes, however, fishermen violating the regulation of anchoring boats at the bridge are mainly fishermen from Dien Bich commune. After receiving the feedback, Dien Chau district has directed these two localities to launch a campaign to review and handle violations, and at the same time, propagate fishermen to anchor their boats in the nearby mangrove forest area, because in these forests there are already support poles for safe anchoring of boats.

Although this situation has improved, the communes must continue to maintain forces to inspect, monitor, and strictly handle repeat violations to ensure safety for the most important bridge in Dien Chau coastal area.
