Many creative and practical activities for the community

Evaluating the results of activities in 2018, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Pham Tuan Vinh affirmed that the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province closely followed the theme "Year of Creative Youth", maximizing the spirit of creativity in the youth. With 16 targets set, 6 tasks met the targets, 7 tasks exceeded the targets such as: 100% of the district-level Youth Unions had at least 1 district-level youth project; built at least 100 activity and entertainment spots for local youth; each district, city and town Youth Union provided career counseling to more than 600 youth union members...

Accordingly, many innovative activities, good practices, creative models, and high efficiency have been implemented and organized, such as turning black spots of waste and environmental pollution into playgrounds for children and youth flower gardens; models of "Mural Road", "Car Wash to raise funds", "Charity Music Night"; Youth undertake to build key routes in difficult, dangerous, and isolated areas; build and broadcast "Nghe An Youth TV Page"; "Nghe An Provincial Youth Union participates in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level"...

The work of building the Youth Union organization has also been focused on and focused on effectively maintaining the model of "All-Union Activities" in the whole province, creating a vibrant atmosphere, attracting many youth union members to participate.

Also in 2018, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union organized 3 friendly exchanges and meetings between youths from 4 provinces: Nghe An, Xieng Khouang, Hua Phan, Bolikhamxay (Laos). In the 2018 summer volunteer campaign, the Provincial Youth Union and Association directed the establishment of an international volunteer team of the Provincial Border Guard to participate in activities in Hua Phan province (Laos) for 1 month with activities such as teaching summer culture, visiting, giving gifts and helping people, guiding economic development, etc.

At the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Pham Tuan Vinh also pointed out the shortcomings and limitations, some projects were slow to be issued, some annual work targets were not completed compared to the set progress such as: Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province only mobilized young people to propose 500/25,000 ideas and initiatives; only 15/21 district, city and town Youth Unions effectively built and maintained youth cooperatives or booths displaying youth products...

Recognizing the outstanding achievements of Nghe An youth, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union decided to award Certificates of Merit to 41 groups and 32 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in 2018. The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union decided to award Certificates of Merit to 26 groups and 22 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and the youth movement in 2018.

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union presented flags to 5 collectives, awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives that achieved the title of "Excellent Unit in Youth Union Work and Youth Movement at District Level in 2018", awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 units that achieved the title of "Advanced Unit in Youth Union Work and Youth Movement at District Level in 2018" and 2 collectives that achieved the title of "Career Unit that successfully completed its tasks in 2018".

Dialogue to listen to opinions from the grassroots

Orienting the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in 2019, with the theme "Youth Volunteers", the Provincial Youth Union set out 4 key tasks and 14 basic targets. Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Pham Tuan Vinh requested that the Youth Union and Association at all levels focus on two difficult targets, including: each district, city and town Youth Union supports the construction and renovation of 3 or more playgrounds for children and youth; mobilizes union members and youth in the whole province to plant at least 150,000 new trees.

To successfully complete the key tasks set out, the Provincial Youth Union Secretary emphasized that the contents must be realized through specific, practical actions, actively innovating and being creative in activities at the grassroots level.

Regarding the work of building the Youth Union, expanding the solidarity front, and gathering young people, Provincial Youth Union Secretary Pham Tuan Vinh suggested that all levels of the Youth Union pay attention to the content of the activities of the whole Union and strengthen activities at the grassroots level.

He added that in 2019, the Provincial Youth Union will organize a dialogue conference between the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and ward, commune and town Youth Union secretaries to listen to opinions from the grassroots, thereby drawing experience and promoting the Youth Union movement. Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Pham Tuan Vinh emphasized that the most important thing is that the Youth Union organization must bring practical and meaningful values ​​to the community and society./.
