The number of F1 related to karaoke bars in Ha Tinh is large, Vinh City urgently opens more quarantine areas

On the morning of November 13, the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control announced 27 more cases of Covid-19 infection in the area, including 2 cases related to An Hong karaoke bar, located in Block 1, Xuan An town, Nghi Xuan (Ha Tinh).

The first case is a 30-year-old man, residing in Hung Loi commune (Hung Nguyen), but temporarily residing in Trung Do ward (Vinh city). This person was a customer who had come to sing at An Hong karaoke bar.

The second patient is an 8-year-old boy, also residing in Trung Do ward.

According to Mr. Tran Quang Dai - Chairman of Trung Do Ward People's Committee, this boy's father was a customer who used to sing at An Hong karaoke bar. A day before, the father was found to have Covid-19, testing related people showed that another son was also positive. "Currently, in Trung Do ward, there are 4 patients related to An Hong karaoke bar," Mr. Dai said.

So far, Vinh City has recorded 6 Covid-19 cases related to An Hong karaoke bar. Among them, 2 patients are female service staff of the bar, renting a house in Ha Huy Tap ward.

According to Vinh City's report, due to the relatively large number of F1 cases related to the cases of singing at An Hong karaoke bar, on the night of November 12, the city had to urgently open an additional centralized quarantine area at Quyet Thanh Hotel.

As of the evening of November 12, Vinh City had 471 F1 cases, of which 122 were quarantined at home. The rest had to go to centralized quarantine areas.

Ms. Tran Thi Cam Tu - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee said that currently, the authorities are still urgently tracing people who have been to An Hong karaoke bar to sing in order to promptly send them to centralized quarantine. "Currently, we do not have official figures because we are still tracing, however, the initial results show that there are quite a lot of people," Ms. Tu said.

An Hong karaoke bar is located on National Highway 1A, right at the foot of Ben Thuy 2 bridge. Because Vinh city, Nam Dan and Hung Nguyen districts are at level 2, so far, services such as karaoke, bars... are not allowed to operate again. Therefore, the number of customers from these localities going to karaoke bars in Nghi Xuan district to sing is quite large. Through camera inspection, from November 3 to 11, there were 110 groups of guests coming to this bar to sing. Of which, most came from Vinh city and Hung Nguyen district. In Hung Loi commune (Hung Nguyen) alone, Mr. Phan Huu Dao - Chairman of the Commune People's Committee said that 15 people who sang karaoke at An Hong bar have been traced. All of these people have been taken to centralized quarantine.
