Song Lam Nghe An won the National Youth Championship for the 7th time

This afternoon (July 15), the final match of the 2019 National Youth Football Tournament took place.
Attending the closing ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province; Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union - Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers; Nguyen Phan Khue - Member of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, Editor-in-Chief of Nhi Dong Newspaper and representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation, Nghe An Department of Culture - Sports, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and sponsors.

Entering the final match, U13 SLNA took the initiative and dominated the game right from the start. Compared to U13 SLF Thanh Vinh, they were not only more experienced in age and playing style, but also in spirit and level of competition.
For most of the first half, U13 SLF Thanh Vinh could not easily organize the usual attacking combinations, while U13 SLNA did not have much difficulty controlling the game.

In the 15th minute, U13 SLNA opened the score. Midfielder number 8 Nguyen Trong Tuan quickly escaped to the left corner and made a very good close-range header to open the score for U13 SLNA. The early goal helped the yellow team play with a comfortable spirit.
After the tallest striker of the tournament, Nguyen Dinh Cuong, entered the field, the attacking game of U13 SLNA became clearer and just a few minutes after the opening goal, they had another chance to double the gap but the striker who had just entered the field missed the goal of U13 SLF Thanh Vinh.
In this match, SLF goalkeeper Thanh Vinh played very well and saved the red team from no less than 2 situations that could have resulted in goals.

In the second half, SLF Thanh Vinh played with great effort to find an equalizer. Coach Pham Van Hao's students had more possession but were still very stuck in finding a way through the well-organized and tight defense of U13 SLNA.
Meanwhile, the U13 SLNA team still played proactively. Coach Le Van Hung's students calmly deployed their playing style but still created very clear attacking situations.
After a number of opportunities were created, the goal to double the gap also came to U13 SLNA. In the 51st minute, from a very quick and methodical central attack, Quoc Trung escaped to face goalkeeper Truong Van Trung and skillfully finished into the opponent's net.

In the remaining minutes of the match, both teams continued to attack but no more goals were scored. 2-0 was the final score of the match and U13 SLNA officially defended the championship title.
Nghe An football team won the championship for the 7th time and continues to hold the national record at the National Youth Finals.
