Currently, Vinh Stadium has undergone 10 days of renovation and maintenance. The quality of the ground and grass has been significantly improved. However, it is expected that by the end of May, the construction unit will be able to hand over the grass to Song Lam Nghe An Club after 40 days of renovation.

During this time, SLNA Club must consider renting Ha Tinh Stadium or Thanh Hoa Stadium. Because on May 15, the Nghe An team is expected to welcome Binh Dinh Club in the National Cup qualifying round and welcome SHB Da Nang in round 3 of V.League 2020.

Although Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa are renovating their stadiums, they have agreed to let SLNA FC rent their stadiums to play during the renovation of Vinh Stadium. However, the Nghe An team still wants to play at home for 1-2 matches before the stadium continues to be maintained.

The first condition for SLNA to play at Vinh Stadium is to have permission from the contractor who is directly carrying out maintenance and renovation. According to the investigation, SLNA Club is waiting for more time for engineers to inspect and evaluate. If only organizing matches without practicing, this is completely feasible.

Finally, the Vinh Stadium Organizing Committee will have to send a document to VPF - the organizing committee of Vietnam's national championships to ask for permission. Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - Chairman of SLNA Club said: "We have to consider the option of asking VPF to organize the National Cup on May 15 and possibly a match in the V.League during the renovation period. Because having to play at a neutral stadium at this time will lead to many consequences."

Previously, on March 23, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) sent Official Dispatch No. 87/VPF-TCTĐ regarding the request to renovate and upgrade some items of Vinh Stadium (Nghe An) to the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province and SLNA Joint Stock Company.

And to avoid having to choose another stadium as their home, SLNA Club has been given 300 million VND by the sponsor to renovate Vinh Stadium. During the renovation period, coach Ngo Quang Truong and his team are currently having to gather at the stadium with other youth teams, waiting for the ball to roll again.
