Bathing in the pond while herding goats, two children tragically drowned
(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Tho Commune (Nghia Dan - Nghe An) said that a tragic drowning accident had just occurred in the area.
Accordingly, at around 7:00 a.m. on August 4, three children, siblings of Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc and Ms. Dau Thi Tuyet in Men hamlet, Nghia Tho commune, went to herd goats about 300 meters from their home.
Then, Nguyen Bao Bao, 9 years old, and Nguyen Bao Khanh, 7 years old, went down to the pond to bathe. When they did not see their brothers come up for a long time, Nguyen Bao Quoc (Bao Khanh's twin brother) who was on the shore ran home to call for help. When family members and local people came to rescue them, the two children were dead.
Currently, the family has completed the procedures to bring the victim's body home for burial. The Party Committee and the Government of Nghia Tho commune have also come to encourage and provide timely support to the family.
