4 people detained for causing trouble and knocking down fences at quarantine checkpoint
While waiting for the authorities to clear the way through the quarantine checkpoint, four men shouted and dragged many people along, causing public disorder and knocking down the fence, injuring a police officer.
On October 2, Cang Long District Police (Tra Vinh) detained Thach Keo Lai (33 years old), Thach Lap (35 years old), Nguyen Ngoc Thanh (31 years old), all residing in Tra Vinh, and Tran Van Ro (24 years old, residing in Trung Thanh Commune, Vung Liem District, Vinh Long Province) to investigate their behavior.Resisting law enforcement officers.
Police said that at around 4:30 a.m. on October 2, at the epidemic checkpoint at Co Chien bridge (Dai Phuoc commune, Cang Long district), many citizens of Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, and Soc Trang from Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces poured in.

Here, the authorities urgently checked the information, guided people to carry out the necessary procedures and waited for instructions from the leaders of Tra Vinh Provincial People's Committee.
However, while the police were on duty, Lai, Lap, Thanh, and Ro shouted and dragged many people along, causing public disorder and breaking the barrier to cross the checkpoint.
Lap kicked and knocked down the fence, injuring the police, then beat the medical staff and threw a water bottle at the police.

Lap, Lai, Thanh, and Ro pushed and broke the fence and got past the checkpoint a short distance but were controlled and arrested by the police.
At the police station, all four people initially admitted to their violations.
