Detain criminal suspect of abusing 5-year-old boy
Nguyen Hoai Nam, 28 years old, from Ho Chi Minh City, was detained after beating a 5-year-old boy in a house in Binh Chuan ward, Thuan An city.
On the evening of August 4, Nam was detained by Thuan An City Police to investigate the act of beating.child abuse.
That same afternoon, a four-minute video appeared online showing a man beating a naked boy. The boy kept begging, "Dad, don't hit me," but the man did not stop. He slapped, stomped, and even lifted the boy up high and slammed him onto the mattress, chasing him out of the house.

A woman appeared and was called mother by the victim but did not stop her, standing back inside. When the child stood up to go inside, the man stopped him and asked: "Where are you going?". The child said "I want to save my mother, I want to save my mother...", and was beaten more. The child then mentioned his friend, and the man became even more aggressive.
Only when she saw her husband throw the baby on the mattress for the second time did the woman run out to hug her child. But the abuser did not stop and instead attacked her, forcing her to choose: "Either I go or I take her to her parents' house."
From the angle of the image shows the incident was filmed by someone in the attic of the room.
Thuan An City Police investigated and identified the man in the video as Nam. At the investigation agency, this person admitted his actions.
The man lived as husband and wife with the woman in a rented room in Binh Chuan ward. Police are investigating the relationship between the suspect and the victim.
