Passion and intelligence contribute ideas to the document

In the first days of the New Year, the Standing Committee of Yen Thanh District Party Committee organized a meeting of former district leaders of different periods, including more than 20 comrades who were former Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries, Chairmen, Vice Chairmen of the District People's Council and People's Committee, and retired members of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee in the district to contribute their opinions on the draft Political Report to be submitted to the next District Party Congress. After listening to the district leaders' specific reports and explanations of the basic contents of the reports, the delegates attending the conference took turns to express their opinions. The general feeling of the former district leaders was excitement and joy at the achievements that the Yen Thanh District Party Committee had achieved in the past time.

With the characteristic of a team of cadres in charge through different periods, operating in different fields, some doing Party work, some doing State management, some doing economic work, some doing mass work, so each person has in-depth contributions in each field.

Comrade Tran Dinh Duc, 97 years old this year, 73 years in the Party, joined the District Party Committee Executive Committee since 1950, became Secretary of the District Party Committee in 1959, then became Deputy Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, then worked as Department Head, Party building expert in Laos for 32 years, now retired in Ma Thanh commune. He presented a detailed discussion of each sub-item, both the evaluation and orientation part, and at the same time suggested emphasizing the reason for the success of the Yen Thanh District Party Committee Executive Committee in the past time is thanks to the solidarity and unanimity in the Executive Committee, only with solidarity can there be a new rural district, only with a clean and strong district Party Committee.

He requested to clarify the success in how the cadres who were transferred to the Yen Thanh District Party Committee all made contributions to the district in the fields of socio-economics and Party building, and after a period of time in the district, all matured and held new, higher positions such as: Comrade Hoang Trong Hung (currently Chief of the Office of the Central Organizing Committee), Hoang Nghia Hieu (currently Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee), Comrade Nguyen Van De (currently Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development)...

Comrade Tran Dinh Duc also suggested that it is necessary to summarize and draw conclusions about the successful lessons in the rotation of cadres for the district, the province and the Central Government. Why in Yen Thanh, the transferred comrades all contributed to the district, all matured and all created conditions for the development of local cadres, such as comrade Nguyen Viet Hung, from a young cadre, with basic training, experienced in practical work, now trusted and elected as Secretary of the District Party Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Ha - former Secretary of the District Youth Union, Head of the Propaganda Department, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee and People's Council, in addition to his profound opinions, also attached a document several pages long, giving specific comments on both content and form... Comrade Phan Thi Tien, 83 years old, former Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee in charge of economy, Head of the District Party Committee's Inspection Committee for many years, suggested that the District Party Committee should send the document many days in advance so that it could study, record, and give more comments.

Comrades Nguyen Van Ninh, Nguyen Tien Loi, Nguyen Hong Uy, Nguyen Van Khai... are people who have spent many years struggling and working in the economic field, and have made in-depth comments on the economic field, especially focusing on improving the quality of criteria for building new rural areas so that communes and districts can be recognized as new rural areas that the people acknowledge, and at the same time, not being satisfied with the achievements, continuing to contribute to transforming the crop and livestock structure, aiming to achieve higher efficiency, productivity and quality.

Regarding the upcoming directions and tasks, there were also many enthusiastic and accurate opinions. There was a suggestion that from now on, not only at the end of the 5-year term, the District Party Committee should invite former district chairpersons to contribute comments on the congress documents, but every year, after the year-end summary, documents should be sent to the elders for their comments. It is possible to hold a general meeting to discuss, to create solidarity and consensus with the incumbent cadres, and also to exploit the intelligence and enthusiasm of the retired chairpersons. Because the important thing is to implement the directions and tasks of the next term.

The District Party Secretary and District People's Committee Chairman also explained some of the delegates' opinions, acknowledged and thanked the veteran cadres for their sincere, frank, and intellectual comments on the draft document. At the same time, they said that this meeting was just the beginning, and hoped to receive comments from the elders and comrades from now until the congress and the entire process of implementing the congress resolution in the next five years...
