Dong Van commune is located in a difficult area of ​​Tan Ky district, where Thai and Tho ethnic groups account for 30% of the population, but in recent years there have been many strong changes from "electricity, roads, schools, stations... That is the constant effort of a team of young, dynamic grassroots cadres following the Resolutions at all levels, from the reality of mobilizing internal and external resources to invest in building many projects for the homeland.

In the past half term, Dong Van commune has completed the construction and put into use the spacious and clean Dong Van 1 Primary School, the commune's central stadium, and the clean water facility in Chau Thanh 4 hamlet, the commune headquarters. In particular, the commune has completed and put into use 3 hard bridges such as Khe Chieng, Vinh Thanh, and Tien Dong bridges from foreign-invested projects. In addition, there are many culverts and spillways in Thung Mon, many clean and beautiful concrete roads, some of which cost more than 10 billion VND...

Secretary of the Dong Van Commune Party Committee, Nguyen Van Khanh, said: From the policies and resolutions of higher levels, grasping the situation at the grassroots level, the commune cadres actively mobilized capital sources, integrated programs and projects to bring many works to the commune, helping people develop the economy and culture better. In addition to the infrastructure system, the commune has many economic models such as: Pig farming of Mr. Bui Ba Hoi, sugarcane and orange farming of Mr. Vo Van Sinh (Thung Mon), fruit tree farm models, poultry farming...

In Tan Xuan commune, the association with local investors has also helped the commune implement 4 sugarcane models with a total area of ​​over 200 hectares using high technology for a yield of 80 - 120 tons/ha in Xuan Yen, Hoang Xuan, Trung Luong, Thanh Tra hamlets. In addition, there are SRI rice models reaching 8 tons/ha. In the commune, there are many carpentry, milling, commercial services, and livestock facilities.
At the Tan Ky market project site, invested by Hai An Cooperative, just a few months after the groundbreaking, the unit has completed the basement and the first floor of the market, and is expected to be completed and put into use by November 2018. In Nghia Dong commune, Manh Thanh Garment Factory has been put into operation, creating jobs for nearly 500 workers. The district is also promoting a Korean garment factory to enter the area in the near future.

Over the past 2.5 years, Tan Ky has attracted 16 projects, with a total investment of 1,375 billion VND in the area. Up to now, the Auto Showroom and Commercial Services in Ky Tan Commune, the Electronics Supermarket at the Bach Hoa intersection, the construction of Tan Ky Market have been completed and put into use; the Monument to the Rear towards the Frontline has continued to be completed. The district is carrying out the project of expanding and paving the traffic road from the Bach Hoa intersection to the roundabout, and the road from the roundabout to Truong Doong slope.

Currently, Tan Ky is promoting the FLC high-tech agricultural project of 300 hectares of dragon fruit for export in Giai Xuan commune with a total investment of 300 billion VND; the entertainment and comprehensive service area in block 6, Tan Ky town with a total investment of 40 billion VND. In addition, it is actively promoting the project of the unburnt brick factory in Ky Tan commune, Tan Ky garment factory; factory producing commercial concrete and precast concrete components...

Being a district with rich potential in construction materials, forest and hill economy, with the advantage of being located on the Ho Chi Minh trail, the people are hard-working and diligent, the staff is united and unanimous, in recent years, the socio-economic situation of Tan Ky has had positive changes. The investment environment has been improved, attracting investment to the area has been more prosperous.
Not only in the field of industry and services, the new rural construction movement has achieved many positive results. Up to now, the whole district has 6 communes meeting the new rural standards (the target of 10-11 communes) and 85/261 hamlets have met the new rural standards. The leaders have focused on resolving key and prominent cases in the area, creating consensus among the people.
The Standing Committee, the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee, and agencies and units always uphold the spirit of maintaining discipline, public ethics, serving the base and investors well, taking care of resolving administrative procedures related to investors, thereby making businesses and investors feel secure in investing in business. Another field, tourism, has also begun to be interested in exploitation.

Mr. Bui Thanh Bao - Secretary of Tan Ky District Party Committee said: Determining that Tan Ky needs a lot of resources to develop infrastructure, serve production, and care for people's lives, the district mobilized the entire political system to participate in the work of calling for investment and implementing projects.

The district continues to accompany investors, create all favorable conditions, and handle difficulties to call on investors to implement projects in the area, especially compensation for site clearance.

In addition, the Party Committee and the government actively accompany investors to speed up the investment progress of projects, especially key projects. Implement the adjustment of planning and land use plans for the final period approved, encourage people to accumulate land. Strengthen the State management of land and minerals, strictly handle violators in the exploitation and use of resources, minerals and the environment.

According to statistics for the first half of the term, Tan Ky district has 8 targets achieved and exceeded; it is forecasted that by the end of the term, 18/22 targets will be achieved and exceeded, and 04/22 targets are forecast to be difficult to achieve according to the plan.
