Presenting 4,500 national flags and many gifts to fishermen in Dien Chau district

On June 22, at the fishing port of Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, the program "Youth of the Armed Forces of Military Region 4 with the sea and islands of the homeland" took place.

Attending the program were Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4; representatives of Nghe An Military Command; Nghe An Border Guard Command; Nghe An Police; leaders of Dien Chau district; Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.

Organize volunteer activities to protect the marine environment, the "Anti-plastic waste" movement to clean the marine environment; present national flags to fishermen; visit and give gifts to veterans of numberless ships.

The program "Youth of the Military Region 4 Armed Forces with the sea and islands of the homeland" is an activity to promote extensive propaganda and education among cadres, union members, youth of the Military Region's armed forces and people about the Party's viewpoints, guidelines and policies and the State's laws on sovereignty over seas and islands; raise awareness of the role and strategic position of the homeland's seas and islands; strengthen the strength of national solidarity, firmly protect the sovereignty over seas and islands of the Fatherland.

Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa - Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4 and units participating in the program "Youth of the Armed Forces of Military Region 4 with the sea and islands of the homeland" presented the national flag to fishermen of Dien Chau district.

Thereby, arousing the tradition of patriotism, sense of national pride, self-respect, spirit of solidarity, initiative, and creativity of cadres, union members, and youth, excellently completing assigned political tasks, practically achieving the highest achievements to welcome Party congresses at all levels towards the 13th National Congress of the Party.

At the ceremony, agencies, units, philanthropists and businesses presented 4,500 national flags and 100 life buoys, 100 life jackets to fishermen in Dien Ngoc and Dien Bich communes; 16 bicycles to 16 poor students who overcame difficulties to study well, 300 books and 100 movie discs to fishermen and many gifts to policy families and fishermen in difficult circumstances with a total value of nearly 300 million VND in Dien Chau district.
