My Ly Border Guard Station is responsible for managing and protecting a 48.468 km long border section including 9 landmarks (from 389 to 397). The management area includes 25 villages in 2 communes My Ly and Bac Ly. Since 2016, with the consent of competent authorities, the unit has established a Nhot Lot checkpoint team in the area of landmark 390 to regularly manage and protect the border line and local security and order. This is an area with complex and rugged terrain, more than 30 km from the unit, including 8 km of forest roads that must be marched on foot, steep mountain slopes. Transporting food, provisions and equipment is extremely difficult. The unit's officers and soldiers take turns going to the checkpoint every 10-15 days.

All work and activities are carried out under the "4 no" conditions: "No electricity, no phone signal, lack of clean water, no roads"; Harsh weather and climate, fog, cold almost all year round, especially during the cold season when the temperature at the checkpoint is often below 0.oC, significantly affects the health of officers and soldiers./.
