Accordingly, starting from 0:00 a.m. on June 8, the Provincial People's Committee requestsstop all passenger transport activitieson Nghe An province to Ha Tinh province and vice versa, including bus routes, fixed-route buses, taxis, contracted vehicles, and tourist vehicles.

This morning in the areasBen Thuy Bridge 1(in Trung Do ward, Vinh city), Ben Thuy 2 (in Hung Loi commune, Hung Nguyen district) and Yen Xuan bridge (in Long Xa commune, Hung Nguyen district), the police, army and medical staff have also been organized into checkpoints to check and control passenger vehicles from Ha Tinh from entering the area; organize health declarations and body temperature measurement for cases on service vehicles from Ha Tinh passing through.

According to the reporter's records, at the checkpoints, this morning the number of passenger transport vehicles, taxis, tourist cars... traveling between Nghe An and Ha Tinh has decreased significantly. Even at Ben Thuy 2 bridge checkpoint, from morning to noon today, there were no recorded cases of passenger transport vehicles from Ha Tinh to Nghe An.

However, many private vehicles still pass through without being disinfected, medically declared, or inspected, which makes many people worry that it will be difficult to control people returning from epidemic areas.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Head of the Transport Department, Nghe An Department of Transport said that after receiving the directive document from the Provincial People's Committee, Nghe An Department of Transport also issued Document No. 1926/SGTVT-VT to transport businesses, bus station operators, requesting to stop inter-provincial fixed-route passenger transport activities, buses, contract vehicles, tourist vehicles, taxis from Nghe An to Ha Tinh and vice versa. For freight transport activities from Nghe An to Ha Tinh and vice versa, it is necessary to implement epidemic prevention measures such as vehicles must be cleaned and disinfected when entering Nghe An; must not carry more than 2 people; must declare health...

For passenger transport activities departing from Ha Tinh to other provinces and scheduled to pass through Nghe An, they must follow National Highway 1A, avoiding Vinh City and absolutely must not stop or pick up or drop off passengers in Nghe An.

In fact, because passenger transport businesses have also grasped the information, they have proactively stopped operating, even some vehicles previously due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic have also stopped operating because of lack of passengers such as the Duc Tho (Ha Tinh) bus route to Vinh City.
