Increase water discharge flow of Ban Ang and Nam Mo hydroelectric reservoirs
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to increased water flow into the lake, Ban Ang Hydropower Plant, Xa Luong Commune, Tuong Duong District and Nam Mo Hydropower Plant, Ta Ca Commune, Ky Son are expected to increase water discharge from 12:15 p.m. today, October 2.
At 8:20 a.m., the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 08/TB-NMNN dated October 2, 2022 from Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company regarding the increase in water discharge from Ban Ang and Nam Mo hydropower reservoirs due to the increasing flow to the reservoir.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin and the hydrological situation at the project, Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to increase the water discharge flow of Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir as follows:
1.Estimated time to increase water discharge flow:12:15 p.m., October 2, 2022.
2.Discharge flow:Total discharge is expected to be approximately 500 m3/s to 1,000 m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator sets).
3.Estimated time to end water discharge through spillway:Until the water flow to the lake drops below 189.6 m3/S.
To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Nam Mo hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir process and inter-reservoir process on the Ca river basin, Nghe An Energy Development Corporation plans to increase the water discharge flow of Nam Mo hydropower reservoir as follows:
1. Estimated time to increase water discharge flow:12:00, day
October 2, 2022.
2. Discharge flow:Total discharge is expected to be approximately 500 m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator sets).
3. Estimated time to end water discharge through spillway:Until the water flow to the lake drops below 140 m3/S.
The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs: Tuong Duong District People's Committee and Heads of provincial Departments, branches and sectors, Department of Road Management 2 to inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors who are constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream area of Ban Ang and Nam Mo Hydropower Plants to know and deploy necessary work, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and People./.
