(Baonghean.vn) - On September 15, units and localities organized gift giving to flood-affected students in Nam Tip (Ky Son), and provided rice to support students in Nghia Dan and students in difficult circumstances in Nam Dan.

To ensure the safety of the students, officers and soldiers of Muong Tip Border Guard Station coordinated with the school and local authorities to mobilize and relocate the students to study at Nam Tip Primary School, Muong Tip Commune. At the same time, officers and soldiers of the unit transported food and provisions to support the students.

On the morning of September 15, the unit supported students of two schools with 300 kg of rice, 23 boxes of instant noodles, 20 liters of cooking oil, 20 sets of clothes, 300 notebooks, 300 pens, 100 kg of vegetables, tubers and fruits of all kinds. The total amount is 10 million 800 thousand VND.

Accordingly, Nghia Dan has 1,000 students in 12 schools in the area in difficult areas and belonging to ethnic minorities receiving support according to Decision No. 4040/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on allocating rice support for students in the province in the first semester of the 2018-2019 school year. The support level for each student is 15 kg of rice/student/month.

The timely distribution of rice at the beginning of the new school year aims to help students in disadvantaged areas feel secure going to school.

On this occasion, the District Association for Promotion of Education also awarded 58 gifts worth 21 million VND to students with high achievements in the 2017-2018 school year./.
