Create positive changes in propaganda and farmer mobilization work

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 2, in Cua Lo town, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union held a national propaganda training conference in 2016.

Attending the Conference were the Standing Committee of the Provincial Association and leaders of the Propaganda Department of the Farmers' Association of 63 provinces and cities across the country.

On behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, delivering a welcome speech to the Conference and the propaganda staff of the Farmers' Association of 63 provinces and cities across the country, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province reported on some highlights of the province's socio-economic situation.

He highly appreciated the role and position of the Association and the Nghe An farmers' class, which have actively done a good job of propaganda and mobilizing members and farmers in many areas of socio-economic development. He acknowledged the Association's proactive advisory role in building economic models, building capital sources to support farmers, actively mobilizing farmers in land consolidation, planning concentrated production areas according to the province's project, mobilizing farmers to donate land, contribute labor and money to build new rural areas.

Through this training conference, positive and effective changes were created in the work of propagandizing and mobilizing farmers, focusing on building a team of propagandists in all levels of the Association, especially at the grassroots level.

In particular, it is important to focus on innovating the content and form of propaganda to be appropriate, rich, attractive and practical in the spirit of the 4th Conference of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union (term VI) on "strengthening innovation in propaganda and mobilizing farmers in the new situation". Pay attention to grasping and promptly reflecting the urgent issues of farmers, and at the same time propagating current issues such as the situation in the East Sea; climate change; production and consumption of clean agricultural products; food safety; rural environmental protection; guidelines, policies and laws of the Party and State of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union newly issued in 2016.

In addition to the propaganda contents delivered by lecturers from the Central Propaganda Department's Theory Department and the Thang Long Research Institute, the Conference Organizing Committee also devoted time for the propaganda staff of the Farmers' Association nationwide to share experiences in propaganda work and mobilize farmers; receive and answer questions about problems and shortcomings in propaganda activities in localities.
