Trung Nam Group supports nearly 5 billion VND for nearly 200 households in Ky Son district

At the sponsorship awarding ceremony, Chairman of Ky Son District People's Committee Nguyen Huu Minh said, the battleflash floodsThe flood that occurred on October 2nd in the area caused severe damage to 615 houses. Of these, 55 houses were completely damaged (54 houses in Ta Ca commune and 1 house in Muong Xen town); 141 households had their houses flooded and severely damaged; 269 households had to be urgently evacuated; many other properties such as cars, motorbikes... were swept away by the flood.

In addition, floods caused damage to more than 42 teachers' houses in the area, mainly concentrated inTa Ca, Muong Tip, Muong Ai; many schools were damaged, of which Hoa Son Kindergarten and Primary School (Ta Ca commune) was the most severely damaged. The fierce flood swept away many belongings, equipment, clothes, books, and daily necessities of both teachers and students. When the flood receded, all property and belongings were submerged in mud.

The leader of Ky Son district also said that, along with focusing on overcoming the consequences caused by natural disasters to stabilize people's lives, the urgent task now is to soon build a new resettlement area for 269 households with unsafe housing.

To share with the people of Ky Son district, right after the flood passed, Trung Nam Group conducted a survey of the situation of each household.

Through that, nearly 5 billion VND was directly provided to Ky Son district residents, including 1.41 billion VND in support for 141 families severely affected by floods (10 million VND per household) and 55 resettlement houses worth up to 3.3 billion VND (60 million VND per house) to help people stabilize their lives soon.

A representative of Trung Nam Group said that this is one of the activities to respond to the call of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province as well as support programs to help people in difficult and disaster-affected areas.

Previously, in early September 2022, also in Muong Xen town (Ky Son), Trung Nam Group also held the inauguration and handover of Ky Son High School with a sponsorship of 210 billion VND.

Receiving the gift, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Son district expressed his sincere thanks and promised to use the donated money and guide people to use it for the right purpose, soon stabilizing their lives.

After more than 2 weeks of the flood, according to the statistics, Ky Son district has received more than 32 billion VND in support, of which about 22 billion VND in cash. In addition, many volunteer groups, organizations and individuals have come to give directly to households.
