Thai Hoa: Arrested 2 shipments of electronic goods of unknown origin
(Baonghean.vn) - The Economic Drug Crime Police Team of Thai Hoa Town Police discovered and temporarily detained 2 shipments of electronics and gas stoves of unknown origin transported on 2 trucks from Vinh to Thai Hoa Town for consumption.

According to initial information, at around 3:30 p.m. on September 11, the HS-KT-MT Police Team of Thai Hoa Police discovered a truck with license plate 37S-1664 driven by driver Pham Van Hung residing in Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City, showing suspicious signs while gathering electronic goods for sale in Tay Ho 1 Block, Quang Tien Ward (Thai Hoa Town).
Upon inspection, the task force discovered that the vehicle was carrying a large quantity of electronic goods from Vietnamese and foreign brands, including 60 electronic devices including speakers, amplifiers, microphones, etc. worth about 60 million VND. At the scene, driver Hung could not present documents on the origin of the goods and said he was hired to transport the goods from Vinh to Thai Hoa town for sale.

Earlier at 9:00 a.m. the same day, at Tan Thanh block, Hoa Hieu ward, the working group also temporarily detained truck with license plate 37C - 105.72 carrying 50 gas stoves worth about 90 million VND. At the time of inspection, driver Ho Trong Luong, residing in Nghi Van commune, Dien Chau district, was also unable to present documents or evidence related to the origin of the above goods.
Currently, Thai Hoa Town Police have made a record to temporarily detain these two shipments to investigate and clarify the case and handle them according to the provisions of law.
