Thanh Chuong: Striving for 97-98% of students to participate in health insurance
(Baonghean.vn) - Thanh Chuong District People's Committee has just held a conference to summarize the work of Student Health Insurance in the 2015-2016 school year and deploy tasks for the 2016-2017 school year.
In the last school year, the number of students with health insurance cards in the district was 34,025, equivalent to 94% of the total number of students, an increase of 3% compared to the previous school year. The collection and issuance of health insurance cards were carried out promptly. The work of protecting, taking care of health and examining and treating students at medical facilities has received increasing attention.
In the 2015-2016 school year, the Social Insurance sector transferred nearly 1.7 billion VND to schools in the district. The whole district had 7,221 students receiving inpatient and outpatient medical treatment with a total cost of over 1.3 billion VND. 105/129 schools had their own medical rooms and necessary equipment to serve the health care work for students...

At the conference, 4 groups and 4 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial Social Insurance and 17 groups were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the District People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in student health insurance work in the 2015-2016 school year.
Based on the results achieved, in the 2016-2017 school year, Thanh Chuong district strives to achieve 97-98% of students participating in health insurance.
