Thanh Chuong gives gifts to Xay Cham Phon district

(Baonghean.vn) - Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station (Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An) has just held a ceremony to hand over food and foodstuffs to support the people and armed forces of Xay Cham Phon district, Bolikhamxay province, Laos.

This is an annual activity held during the lean season by Lao people along the border. At the ceremony, Thanh Chuong district handed over to Xay Cham Pon district 10 tons of rice, along with a quantity of cooking oil and fish sauce with a total value of 200 million VND.

This is an activity to carry out border diplomacy and strengthen the development of the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos in general, Thanh Chuong district - Nghe An and Xay Cham Phon district, Bolikhamxay province in particular on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (July 18, 1977 - July 18, 2017) and to support part of the food for the people and armed forces of Xay Cham Phon district who are facing many difficulties due to natural disasters and hunger during the lean season.
