(Baonghean.vn) - At the year-end meeting between the city and many press agencies on the morning of January 13, Mr. Le Sy Chien - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee shared that to combat traffic congestion, the city will study solutions so that people can park on the sidewalk.

Vinh City's report shows that despite many difficulties in 2019, with the determined efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of the city, many targets in the area were achieved and exceeded. The growth rate reached 9.15/plan 9-10%, total social investment capital reached 17,115 billion VND.

In 2020, Vinh city is determined to achieve many higher targets such as: Creating jobs for 4,500 people, the rate of cultural neighborhoods is 85%, focusing on implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo, Notice No. 55 of the Politburo and Decision No. 2468/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on developing Vinh city to become the center of the North Central region.
The city's report also pointed out some existing limitations such as: Slow site clearance, high third child birth rate, stagnant progress in building national standard schools...
At the press conference, issues of flood prevention, street naming, affirming the city's leading position, low budget revenue, environmental sanitation, etc. were raised by journalists. Journalists also noted that the city has made new highlights with the spirit of determination to build a civilized urban area and a tourist city.

Regarding the issue of parking for people in the city, Mr. Le Sy Chien said that currently there are a lot of cars in Vinh city, so the city will continue to study allowing people to park on the sidewalk by lowering curbs, digging sidewalks, drawing parking spots... to ensure against congestion in the absence of guaranteed parking lots.
