According to a quick report from the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control: After receiving information from the Center for Tropical Diseases, Nghe An General Hospital about a rapid test positive for Covid-19 transferred by Cua Dong General Hospital, Nghe An CDC sent a monitoring and sampling team to investigate and collect samples. The preliminary epidemiological investigation results are as follows:
The patient is male, born in 1989, residing in Hung Dung ward, Vinh city; an employee of a financial company of a bank.
On June 2, 2021, the patient went to dinner with friends at a restaurant opposite Nguyen Van Cu auto interior, and in the afternoon went swimming in Cua Lo.
On June 6, 2021, the patient attended a wedding at noon at the SUMMER Hotel opposite the Phuong Dong Hotel, then went to have coffee at Highland with 6 friends.
The patient went to work and then came home every day, and did not go out. On the evening of June 8, 2021, the patient had a fever of 38.5 degrees Celsius. The fever went away after taking fever-reducing medicine.
On the morning of June 9, 2021, the patient still went to work as usual at the office. At 1:30 p.m. on June 9, 2021, the patient went to the ENT department of Vinh City General Hospital for examination. After the examination, the doctor prescribed medication for home treatment.
On the morning of June 10, 2021, the patient's fever was gone and he went to work as usual. In the evening of the same day, he continued to have a high fever of 39 degrees Celsius and took medication as prescribed by the hospital.

On the morning of June 11, 2021, the patient went to work and felt tired, so at 10:30 a.m. he asked to go home and rest at the house on the 2nd floor without going anywhere. Until the afternoon of June 15, 2021, he continued to have a high fever and felt very tired, so the patient went to Cua Dong General Hospital for examination at 3:30 p.m. the same day.
At the screening clinic, the patient was tested positive for suspected Covid-19 by Cua Dong Hospital, then Cua Dong General Hospital transferred the patient to the Tropical Disease Center, Nghe An General Hospital by Cua Dong General Hospital's vehicle. The patient is being isolated and treated at the Tropical Disease Center, Nghe An General Hospital.
During the time the patient was at home, he had contact with his mother, sister, and sister-in-law. At work, he had daily contact with 15 people in the same room, wearing a mask.
Nghe An CDC has taken samples, conducted PCR tests to confirm and investigate epidemiological factors. At 10:32 p.m. today, June 15, the patient tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
