11 more cases of nCoV positive
6 people in Ho Chi Minh City, 3 people in Hanoi, one in Lai Chau, one in Thanh Hoa were confirmed positive for nCoV, bringing the number of patients as of 9:00 p.m. on March 24 to 134.
Of the 6 new patients in Ho Chi Minh City, 4 are related to Buddha bar - the destination of cases 91, 97, 98.
"Patient 124", male, 52 years old, Brazilian nationality, residing in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. This person works at Gia Dinh Shoe Company Limited, which has 2 branches in Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai and District 2. Every day, he goes to work at both company branches, in addition to going to some places such as restaurants in Bien Hoa, Dong Nai, coffee shops, Vincom shopping mall in District 2 and does not use a mask. On March 14, he went to Buddha bar. On March 22, the patient was transferred to quarantine in District 9, tested with a stable health condition, no symptoms of the disease recorded. Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City concluded that the sample was positive for nCoV. The patient is currently isolated, monitored and treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.
"Patient 125",South African female, 22 years old, residing in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. After hearing the announcement of the Ho Chi Minh City health sector about searching for people related to Buddha bar, on March 22, she went to District 7 Medical Center to declare that she had been to the bar from 9:30 p.m. on March 14 to 3 a.m. on March 15. She was quarantined, had her sample taken and was in stable health condition, with no recorded symptoms of the disease. The patient stayed at home from March 15 until being quarantined. The Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City tested the sample and concluded that it was positive for nCoV. The patient is being quarantined at the Can Gio district treatment area.
"Patient 126", male, South African nationality, 28 years old, residing in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. He is a teacher, a friend of "patient 125". On March 22, he went to District 7 Medical Center to declare that he had been to Buddha bar with the same schedule as his friend, was quarantined, had samples taken, and was in stable health, with no recorded symptoms of the disease. From March 15 until the quarantine, he visited "patient 125's" house twice. The Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City tested and concluded that the sample was positive for nCoV. The patient is currently being quarantined at the Can Gio district quarantine area.
"Patient 127", male, 23 years old, residing in Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh City, is a waiter working from 9pm to 4am at Buddha bar. On March 16, he started having symptoms of fever, went to a clinic in Tan Phu district, was given medicine and has had no fever until now. From March 17 to 20, he stayed at home, did not go to work, went to some restaurants. On March 21, he went to the medical station to declare his contact status at Buddha bar and was instructed to self-isolate at home. On March 22, he was transferred to centralized quarantine in Tan Phu district, had samples taken for testing and did not show any symptoms of the disease. The Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City tested and concluded that the sample was positive for nCoV. The patient is currently being transferred to Cu Chi Field Hospital for monitoring and isolation.
"Patient 128", male, 20 years old, address in Le Chan, Hai Phong. The patient is an international student in the UK, entered Noi Bai on March 20 on flight VN54. After entering the country, he was screened by the Hanoi Center for Disease Control and tested positive for nCoV on March 22. On March 23, the sample was sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for testing, today the result was confirmed. The patient is being quarantined at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility, and his health condition is stable.
"Patient 129", male, 20 years old in Nghia Tan, Hanoi, an international student in the UK, entered Noi Bai on March 20 on flight VN54. The Hanoi Center for Disease Control screened and collected samples for testing on March 22. The next day, the sample was sent to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, today the result was positive for nCoV. The patient is being quarantined at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Dong Anh facility, and his health condition is stable.
The three patients were all tourists from Spain who transited in Russia and entered Noi Bai on March 22 on flight SU290. After entering the country, they were taken to the quarantine area of Bac Giang province and tested positive. Currently, all three are quarantined at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh, with stable health, including:"Patient 130", 30 year old male, residing in Binh Chanh, Ho Chi Minh City;"Patient 131", 23 year old male in Binh Chanh, Ho Chi Minh City;"Patient 132", female 25 years old, Long Bien, Hanoi.
"Patient 133", female, 66 years old, address in Tan Phong, Lai Chau. In March, she went to Bach Mai Hospital for treatment. On March 22, she returned home and had a fever on the way back. The next day, the Lai Chau Provincial Center for Disease Control took samples for testing. On March 23, the sample was tested by the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology and the result was positive for nCoV. The patient is being quarantined at Lai Chau Provincial General Hospital and is in stable health condition.
"Patient 134", male, 10 years old, address in Thach That, Hanoi. The patient is a tourist from abroad who entered Noi Bai on March 18 on flight SU290. After entering the country, the patient was taken to the quarantine area of Thanh Hoa province, where samples were taken for testing. On March 23, the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology confirmed the sample was positive for nCoV. The patient is being quarantined at Bim Son General Hospital, and his health condition is stable.
