Now working at the factory, they can live close to home and have a stable income, so the quality of family life has been greatly improved. It is expected that by the end of 2021, the factory will create jobs for 5,000 workers and by the first quarter of 2022, create jobs for 8,000 local workers.

In fact, rural labor accounts for a large proportion of the labor structure, so in order to gradually shift agricultural labor to industrial and service labor, Yen Thanh district has actively planned and built industrial clusters, created open mechanisms and policies to develop diverse types of small-scale industry and services, opening up many job opportunities for workers and laborers.

Determining that vocational training associated with job creation for rural workers is important for socio-economic development, contributing to the completion of the goal of building a new rural district, Yen Thanh Technical Vocational College annually conducts a survey of vocational training needs of localities to develop programs and enrollment plans according to practical needs.

In addition to focusing on innovation and improving the quality of vocational training according to the needs of society, the school also focuses on job creation by strengthening cooperation and association with businesses, creating opportunities for students to have immediate and stable jobs at large enterprises in and outside the province after graduation.

Mr. Nguyen Tho Nga - Principal of Yen Thanh Technical Vocational College said: In the past year alone, the school had over 300 technical secondary students in the fields of automotive technology, electricity, welding, mechanical assembly, and fashion sewing who were accepted by businesses immediately after graduation. Along with improving the quality of training, the school continues to cooperate with 12 companies to introduce jobs for students after training.

Although the Covid-19 pandemic has significantly affected the labor export industry for more than a year, labor export is still considered one of the key directions in solving employment for local workers. Therefore, the functional sectors in Yen Thanh district are still actively exploiting labor supply and demand information; selecting legal companies, businesses, and units in labor export consulting and introducing domestic labor recruitment to create many information channels for workers to learn and choose.

Currently, Yen Thanh district has about 17,000 workers working abroad, the rate of skilled workers going abroad is 65%, bringing in an average of over 200 million USD in foreign currency each year, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the locality. In addition, in recent times, craft villages and service cooperatives have also made efforts to overcome all difficulties, promote trade, connect markets to consume products, and stabilize jobs for over 5,000 local workers. Typically, at Thang Loi Cooperative, Tho Thanh commune, specializing in producing rattan and bamboo products for export, despite the continuous Covid-19 epidemic, this facility still ensures jobs for 20 regular workers at the factory and 500 seasonal workers in craft villages inside and outside the district.

Mr. Hoang Danh Truyen - Vice Chairman of Yen Thanh District People's Committee said: As a district with great potential with nearly 175,000 working-age workers, in 2021, Yen Thanh district is striving to implement many positive solutions to maintain a stable rate of regular employment, improve the quality of labor resources, of which over 51% of trained workers have jobs, bringing the average income per capita to 52 million VND/year, contributing to reducing the poverty rate to 1.06%.
