Driving license test will be more difficult in the future
In order to improve the quality of training, testing and granting driving licenses, the General Department of Roads is revising and increasing the number of new question sets when taking driving license exams.
Recently, the General Department of Roads has announced that it is revising a new set of questions used in training and testing for driver's licenses. Notably, the number of questions has been increased from 450 to 500. In addition, all old questions have been reviewed and revised based on current legal and scientific grounds, and many new contents have been added to suit the practical situation.
The new set of questions will add 15 more questions on the driving test, including 2 questions related to railways, bringing the number of questions on railways to 13. There will be 25 more questions on road signs to comply with the 41:2016 standard on road signs. In addition, there will be 10 questions related to driving skills, handling situations on highways, slippery roads, and snow.

In particular, the new set of questions will no longer "puzzle" learners with only one correct answer instead of having questions with two correct answers. If one answer is missing, no points will be counted as in the old set of questions. The General Department of Roads is also considering adding more questions to the driver's license test question bank in the near future because it believes that 500 questions still do not really cover the entire training program. It is expected that the new set of questions will be applied and deployed in July this year.
Previously, the addition of the parallel test since 2016 was also supported by many people because it helped increase the output quality of students taking the driving license exam. It is known that the passing rate of the driving license test since the application of the parallel test has decreased from over 70% to about 60%. However, this change is necessary and supported by many people because this is a very common parking situation when driving, especially in large, crowded cities with only roadside parking areas.
Driving skills on highways and slippery roads are also given additional attention. |
Adding questions to the driving license test is really necessary and not too difficult for students taking the driving license test. Not to mention adding new questions related to signs according to new standards is really necessary. Questions related to railways or skills of moving on highways and slippery roads also promise to add significant knowledge for students learning to drive before actually holding the steering wheel to participate in traffic.
