French mayor threatens homeless man with katana
The mayor of the French city of Vissu, Richard Trenckier, has been detained for threatening homeless people with a sword, the Monde newspaper reported.

"He threatened the homeless with a katana," — the prosecutor said.
According to the newspaper, Mr. Trenckier wore bulletproof vest, held a pistol and a katana. In addition, according to the publication's own sources, the mayor was accompanied by his first deputy and several police officers.
The Parisien newspaper wrote that Mr. Trenckier protested against the homeless people migrating in the kindergarten parking lot. They called the police.
According to French media, at the time of detention the market was in a state of intoxication.
