Hoang Mai town had to establish an additional Verification Team to resolve people's complaints related to land acquisition for National Highway 1A.
Implementing the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh in Official Dispatch 998/UBND-TD dated February 14, 2025. In which, the Steering Committee for payment of compensation for land acquisition and clearance for National Highway 1A, relevant departments, branches and People's Committees of localities are required to promptly resolve and respond fully and legally to petitions from citizens related to compensation for land acquisition and clearance for National Highway 1A; focus on promptly completing the compensation plan for land acquisition and clearance (supplementary) for outstanding cases, and pay to citizens before June 30, 2025. Recently, the People's Committee of Hoang Mai Town had to establish a new Team to verify people's complaints.
Specifically, in February 2025, through reviewing, receiving and synthesizing the arising petitions, the People's Committee of Hoang Mai Town accepted and established 2 new teams to verify the complaint content for 111 households and individuals in Mai Hung Ward. These are cases of land originating after 1982 because the former Mai Hung Commune sold it without authority.
Mr. Pham Van Hao - Vice Chairman of Hoang Mai Town People's Committee said: In February 2025, the Town Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council organized compensation and late payment payments to 96 households, with an amount of 42 billion VND. Accumulated to the end of February 2025, 298 households agreed to receive money with an amount of 145 billion VND.
Mr. Hao also emphasized that after completing and establishing new Verification Teams, in March 2025, the Town People's Committee plans to issue a Decision to resolve complaints for 54 more households; approve compensation plans for 4 households that have completed the listing with an amount of 1.1 billion VND. At the same time, continue to organize payments for the remaining eligible households.
NOn August 6, 2024, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision 1993/QD-UBND on the allocation of the targeted supplementary central budget estimate for the 5th period of 2024. Of which, 1,275 billion VND from the central budget estimate was allocated to localities to resolve compensation for site clearance (including the delayed payment) of the National Highway 1A expansion projects through Nghe An province.
Specific amounts: Vinh City: 21,912 billion VND; Hoang Mai Town: 618,017 billion VND; Dien Chau District: 512,299 billion VND; Quynh Luu District: 122,772 billion VND.
