Practically bringing the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard into life

In the context of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, along with other key tasks, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 has been actively and proactively participating with the highest sense of responsibility to contribute to the overall success of the competition.

Immediately after launching, together with units throughout the army,Coast Guard Region 1 Commandhas actively and proactively led and directed agencies in the entire region to implement with the highest political determination. The Regional Command has developed plans and organizedthoroughly understandprovide 100% of officers and soldiers with information about the purpose, meaning, rules, importance as well as raise the sense of responsibility of the contestants for this contest.

The Party Committee and the Head of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command have identified this as a very important task in 2021. Accordingly, we have developed a very detailed plan with full contents and very clear division of tasks and responsibilities, and at the same time, we have coordinated well with coastal provinces and cities, especially the Propaganda Departments of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees, Radio and Television Stations to develop plans and programs to propagate and promote this contest so that the majority of people, especially fishermen operating at sea, can grasp and participate, and the ultimate goal is to deeply understand the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard, as a basis for forces operating at sea, especially fishermen and our people to comply well, and at the same time, it is also an important legal basis for the Vietnam Coast Guard to carry out its functions and tasks in the seas and islands of the Fatherland.

In order for the contest to be of good quality, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 has deployed to agencies, especially the Professional - Legal Sector and agencies and units to conduct a trial test according to the above plan, and to contribute to the Organizing Committee on the website's remaining shortcomings.

As a contestant, Major Nguyen Thi Thanh Van - Assistant to the Legal Department - Regional Command shared: "I am an officer and soldier in the force, I have also studied and learned the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard since the new Law was issued in 2018 and took effect in 2019. However, until now, through the contest, I have once again learned and learned deeply and have new perspectives through my own research on the Law. I see that the good thing about this contest is to help the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard spread to fishermen who make a living at sea, the direct and main subjects of the Law on the Coast Guard. Through such close and practical contact methods, we can understand more deeply and grasp better the Party's guidelines, policies and laws at sea to protect ourselves, protect our families and contribute to protecting the sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction of the country".

In addition to organizing the competition within the unit, the Regional Command also requires and encourages officers and soldiers of the unit to encourage their relatives, family and friends to participate with the hope that the competition will spread widely throughout society, so that more people know and understand more deeply about the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard.

Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Hien - lecturer at Hai Phong College of Tourism said: “My job is as a lecturer in the Political - Legal Department of the school, so when I heard about the contest "Learning about the Law of the Vietnam Coast Guard", I was very happy and excited to participate, because this is an opportunity for me to learn and improve my knowledge of the law, especially knowledge about the sea and islands in general and the Vietnam Coast Guard in particular. That helps me have more motivation and confidence to teach my students".

The national online contest "Learning about the Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard" with practical meaning aims to add spiritual motivation and willpower so that the Vietnam Coast Guard and functional forces at sea can be more proud and confident in shouldering the mission of managing and firmly protecting the sovereignty, sovereign rights of the sea, islands and sacred continental shelf of the Fatherland.

With a vibrant atmosphere from the very first days, officers and soldiers of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command are determined to complete the set plan and targets, participate in the competition seriously and responsibly, achieve the highest results, and contribute to the overall success of the competition./.
