On July 22, information from Bien Hoa City Police (Dong Nai) said that they had received Nguyen Van Nam (19 years old) and Hoang Trong Canh (18 years old, both residing in KP.4, Trang Dai Ward) from Trang Dai Ward Police to investigate the act of property theft.

According to initial information, at around 6:30 p.m. on July 21, Ms. Le Thi Luat (42 years old, residing in Group 24A, KP.4) reported to the Trang Dai Ward police that a burglar had broken into her house and stolen a safe. The assets inside included 40 million VND in cash, 4 taels of gold and many other documents, with a total value of nearly 200 million VND.

Authorities have arrived to investigate the incident.

After screening and investigating suspects, the authorities invited Nguyen Van Nam to come in for questioning.

Nam confessed that he had called Canh and Nguyen Van A. (15 years old, Mrs. Luat's son) to Mrs. Luat's house to steal the safe. Afterwards, Canh and A. transported the stolen safe to the cajuput forest about 3km from Mrs. Luat's house to break the safe and steal the property.

However, while breaking the safe, Canh received a text message that he was being followed by the police, so the two left the safe and fled.

At around 9:30 p.m., Trang Dai Ward police arrested Canh and asked him to take him to the safe and confiscate the evidence of the case.

In the early morning of July 22, the authorities seized the evidence and all the assets inside and brought them to the police station to assist in the investigation. The suspect Nguyen Van A. is currently still on the run.

Nam and Canh told the authorities that they had known each other for many years and shared a passion for gaming. Due to a lack of money to play games, they discussed stealing property from Ms. Luat's house.

The incident is currently being further investigated by the authorities.
