Weather February 15: Tropical depression appears near the East Sea
(Baonghean.vn) - At 1:00 a.m. on February 15, the center of the tropical depression was at about 8.7 degrees North latitude; 117.7 degrees East longitude, in the area of Palawan Island (Philippines). The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6 (40-50km/h), gusting to level 8.

Typhoon Sanba has weakened into a tropical depression.Forecast for the next 24 hours, the tropical depression moved in the West Northwest direction, traveling 15-20km per hour and gradually weakened into a low pressure area.
Until 1:00 a.m. on February 16, the center of the low pressure area is located at about 9.1 degrees North latitude; 114.2 degrees East longitude, about 260km East Northeast of Truong Sa Island (belonging to Truong Sa archipelago). The strongest wind in the center of the low pressure area decreased to below level 6 (below 40km/hour).
The area of strong winds above level 6, with strong gusts above level 8, has a radius of about 50km from the center of the tropical depression. The dangerous area in the next 24 hours (strong winds at level 6 or higher) is from latitude 7.5 to 10.5 degrees North; east of longitude 113.0 degrees East.Disaster risk level: level 3.
Forecast for the next 24 to 36 hoursThe low pressure area continues to move in the West Northwest direction, about 15-20km per hour, weakening and gradually dissipating.

1. Northern and Central regions:
From February 15 (December 30), cold air weakens, there is rain in some places, temperature tends to increase, the weather gradually warms up. Around February 19 and 20, cold air is likely to strengthen from the east, the sky is cloudy, there is scattered light rain, temperature tends to decrease.
From February 15-17, the area from Quang Ngai to Binh Thuan will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, then rain in some places.
3. Central Highlands and Southern regions:
From February 15-21 (December 30 - January 5): Generally no rain, sunny days; from February 15-17, the Southern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, concentrated in coastal areas.
