According to the Hanoi Party Committee, on March 30, 2017, the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case for the act of "Disturbing public order" under Article 245 of the 1999 Penal Code (amended and supplemented in 2009).

As of April 15, 2017, the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency has applied preventive measures and arrested 4 citizens for disturbing public order for investigation.

Some citizens, due to lack of legal knowledge, have obstructed and illegally detained City police officers and soldiers on duty.

Currently, authorities are continuing to resolve and deploy measures to stabilize security and order in Dong Tam commune, My Duc district.

Up to now, the arrested citizens have clearly realized and want to cooperate with the government to soon stabilize the security and order situation, especially the safety and stability of people's lives.

Hanoi City requests local people to stay alert, calm, cooperate with authorities, not let bad elements take advantage, incite and lead to violations of the law, at the same time, call on those who are illegally detaining police officers and soldiers to immediately release them, ensure the safety of those who are performing their duties, and stop all acts of violating the law.
