Congratulatory letter from the President of the Vietnam Journalists Association on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), on behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam Journalists Association, I would like to send my best wishes to all cadres, members, and journalists nationwide!

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), on behalf of the leadership of the Vietnam Journalists Association, I would like to send my best wishes to all cadres, members, and journalists nationwide!
June 21 this year is certainly a special, memorable and proud occasion for Vietnamese journalists, as it marks an unprecedentedly important event - the century anniversary of the birth of Thanh Nien Newspaper, founded by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth League, the most important predecessor organization of our Party, and also the century anniversary of the birth of revolutionary journalism.

It is even more proud that on the bright milestones of the nation's history over the past hundred years, there are strong marks of the Vietnamese revolutionary press. In the pre-uprising years, the Vietnamese revolutionary press became a sharp political weapon, calling for - organizing - taking action, preparing the theoretical, political, ideological and organizational foundations for the founding of the Party on February 3, 1930; encouraging the people to make a revolutionary movement that contributed decisively to the success of the August General Uprising in 1945, regaining independence for the nation, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam). During the years of resistance for independence, building and defending the Fatherland, under the leadership of the Party, the revolutionary press continued to promote the role of an important "army", encouraging patriotism and determination to defeat the invaders. In the midst of the war, journalists went to the battlefield as soldiers, holding both pens and guns to fight, spreading and uniting millions of people across the country, all towards the same goal, which is to liberate the country and maintain national independence. Hundreds of journalist martyrs heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, adding to the glorious tradition of the country's revolutionary press. Entering the period of peace, innovation and integration, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has truly integrated into the flow of practical life, clearly demonstrating its role in leading ideology, orienting public opinion, spreading belief, responsibility, and aspirations for development to all classes of people to successfully implement the renovation policy initiated and led by our Party, as well as playing an important role in expanding foreign relations, enhancing Vietnam's role and position in the international arena.

Recalling and remembering the past is not only to be proud but also to strengthen faith on the path forward. A particularly meaningful coincidence is that the Vietnamese revolutionary press is entering a new development journey at the same time the country is entering a new era, an era of national growth. The new era is the time when the country and the nation must rise up strongly, strive to successfully achieve strategic goals, create outstanding development at a new height, new level, new quality, establish the national position in the international arena, and create a foundation for the next breakthrough development. Right now, more than ever, Vietnamese journalists and Vietnamese press agencies, in addition to continuing to maintain their steadfast political will, bright mind, humanistic spirit, integrity and loyalty to the profession, must also light the fire of innovation and creativity.

Therefore, I hope that when the Vietnamese revolutionary press enters the 100-year milestone, in addition to maintaining its orientation and stance of wholeheartedly following the Party, serving the People, serving the country, in addition to being "concise" and "refined" in the spirit of Resolution 18-NQ/TW, it is also urgent to innovate, innovate continuously and more strongly, seek development solutions to be able to conquer readers and listeners on new platforms; create a difference between the press and other media channels. Only by effectively realizing successful innovation and creativity models can the press develop truly sustainably, professionally, creatively and humanely, and continue to maintain its position as the main and essential media, a media beacon leading the direction of public opinion, guiding people in the sea of information in the digital age.
