Seized 11 thousand poultry of unknown origin

(Baonghean.vn) - Driver of car with license plate 76C - 085.87 Vo Thanh Phuoc confessed that these poultry breeds did not have documents and were on their way to Quang Ngai for consumption.

On the morning of May 25, Market Management Team No. 4, stationed in Quynh Luu district, said it was temporarily detaining 11,000 poultry of unknown origin.

Previously, at around 7:00 p.m. on May 24, Market Management Team No. 4 coordinated with the Traffic Police Team of Quynh Luu District Police to stop a truck with license plate 76C - 085.87 driven by Vo Thanh Phuoc (born in 1981, residing in Quang Phu ward, Quang Ngai city, Quang Ngai province).

Upon inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle was carrying dozens of boxes of corrugated iron containing more than 11,000 live poultry. Driver Phuoc could not present documents proving the origin and quarantine certificate for this cargo.

Market Management Team No. 4 has drawn up a record and handed over the goods to the Quynh Luu District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Station for handling according to the provisions of law.
