(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 12, the program of the Prime Minister meeting and dialogue with workers in 2022 was held online with the participation of 4,500 workers nationwide.

At Nghe An bridge, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference. Attending the conference were comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, representatives of leaders of departments, branches, units, and 50 outstanding workers of the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union and Vinh City Labor Federation.
Nearly 10,000 questions and recommendations with 9 groups of issues
Before the dialogue, delegates watched a report on the work of caring for workers' lives and the activities of Workers' Month 2022; the lives, thoughts and aspirations of workers and listened to comrade Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor report summarizing the opinions and recommendations of workers to the Government, the Prime Minister and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

In preparation for the Program, the General Confederation has directed trade unions at all levels and trade union press agencies to open forums, organize research, grasp and synthesize recommendations, ideas and proposals from workers to the Party and the State. To date, nearly 10,000 questions and recommendations from workers have been received, focusing on 9 groups of issues.
In particular, the issue of increasing the minimum wage, social insurance payment regime; directing and urging the settlement of policies for workers affected by the COVID-19 epidemic; supporting preschool students who are children of workers in industrial parks; supporting house rent according to Decision 08 of the Prime Minister; credit support for workers; vocational training and vocational training for workers; the situation of unpaid wages, unpaid insurance... are of particular concern.

Timely resolve difficulties for workers
Before entering the dialogue, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh gave a speech to orient the program, encourage workers and announce good news: On the morning of June 12, the Government issued Decree 38/2022/ND-CPminimum wage regulationsfor employees working under labor contracts.
Accordingly, the regional minimum wage is increased by 6% and this Decree takes effect from July 1, 2022. The information was warmly welcomed by all delegates participating in the dialogue program.

In an open and friendly atmosphere, the dialogue recorded many opinions and recommendations from workers. After each recommendation, the Prime Minister and representatives of ministries and branches directly responded to the workers in a thorough and complete manner.
At Nghe An bridge, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Bien - a worker of Woosin Vina Company Limited, representing the workers, petitioned about housing issues.school for workers' children,especially workers working in industrial parks and export processing zones.
Responding to Mr. Bien's petition, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh affirmed that recently, the Government has paid great attention to this content and up to now, the whole country has 73 million m2housing with 122 projects. However, this number only meets 40% of housing needs for workers.
Therefore, the Prime Minister has been giving strong directions to promote social housing projects in the following groups of issues: Perfecting institutions, policy mechanisms to promote investment; Coordinating with the General Confederation to build trade union institutional areas; Issuing many support packages for social housing investment...

Before the answers of the Prime Minister and leaders of relevant ministries and branches, workers in Nghe An expressed their satisfaction.
Concluding the dialogue program, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the significance oftalk showand opinions of workers.
The Head of Government affirmed that in the coming time, the leaders of the Party, the State and the entire political system will continue to review existing problems, pay attention to the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of workers to make appropriate changes. At the same time, he also hopes that workers will continue to promote the tradition of revolutionary struggle, contributing to the construction and development of the country.
The meeting and dialogue program affirmed the attention of the Party, the State, the Prime Minister, employers and the social community towards workers; continued to implement the Trade Union Program accompanying the Government to improve national competitiveness, develop the country sustainably, care for the lives and jobs of union members and workers; affirmed the determination and aspiration of workers to actively compete in creative labor, improve productivity, contribute to the recovery and socio-economic development of the locality and the country.
This is the 6th time the Prime Minister has had a dialogue with workers. Previously, the first dialogue took place in 2016 in Dong Nai, the most recent in 2020 in Bac Ninh.
These dialogues are forums for union members and workers to meet, express their thoughts, aspirations, recommendations and proposals on issues related to work and life to the head of the Government.

At the event, the Prime Minister presented gifts to workers in difficult circumstances at the Bac Giang province bridge. Also on this occasion, the Organizing Committee launched the program "9th Hour +" - a playground for union members and workers working at enterprises across the country. This meaningful program is broadcast weekly from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Sunday on VTV3, Vietnam Television.
