Prime Minister: Develop but leave no one behind
Speaking at the Government's online dialogue with localities this morning (December 28), the Prime Minister emphasized that the journey ahead is still very long, with many big challenges and how to develop without leaving any people behind.

The opening session of the Government's online dialogue with localities this morning was attended by General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
In his opening speech, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc reviewed some key features of the socio-economic situation in 2018, in which the head of the Government especially emphasized the GDP growth of 7.08% in the context of low credit growth, different from previous years.
The Prime Minister emphasized the viewpoint of not choosing quantity or quality of growth but must achieve both goals, both fast and sustainable development. Along with that, we must always seek new growth drivers such as applying new technology, sea tourism, heritage tourism, etc.
“The growth model will be based on labor productivity, promoting the digital economy. Promoting data and innovation factors, promoting the 4.0 revolution because the room for labor productivity increase here is huge,” said the Prime Minister.
The Head of Government also informed that in 2019, the Prime Minister will directly participate in re-evaluating a number of major issues such as assessing the current situation and potential of key economic sectors and fields; assessing aspects of government governance such as e-Government, integrity government, actions or ways to overcome long-term loss-making projects.
Although the achievements of the past year were positive and impressive, according to the Prime Minister, the Government does not allow us to rest on our laurels, because the journey ahead is still very long, with many great challenges and how to develop without leaving any people behind, especially people in remote areas and ethnic minorities.
