(Baonghean.vn) - Pointing out the current situation, in some localities, the announcement of conclusions of the secretaries and chairmen were not fully implemented, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested that leaders of provinces and cities inspect, urge, commend, and strongly criticize so that words go hand in hand with actions.

On the afternoon of December 28, under the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, the Government continued the online conference program, listening to a number of reports from central ministries and branches and opinions from localities. Attending the conference in Hanoi were Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Deputy Prime Ministers, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh and leaders of ministries and branches.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that continuing to implement Resolution 19 in 2018 is an important task. In addition, regarding the simplification of procedures to create an open environment, the head of the Government said that institutions have many constraints, so there are still many confusions, and cumbersome procedures must be cut from the central to local levels.

“In the past year, we cut over 5,000 procedures. Many ministries did very well in this area, such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Construction, etc., cutting from half to one-third of the procedures, daring to give up power to create an environment,” the Prime Minister praised, while affirming that simplifying procedures is a very important task of ministries and branches.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also asked all levels from the central to local levels to consider more about the 4.0 industrial revolution: “Where should we start to innovate and implement the 4.0 industrial revolution? Is it technology infrastructure, databases, human resource training? The world is doing it very strongly, but we do not understand, do not know where to start, it is very difficult. I hope that secretaries, chairmen of provinces, cities, ministers continue to promote the question of what is the 4.0 industrial revolution in their localities and industries and where to start”.

The Prime Minister also frankly pointed out that checking the implementation of tasks assigned by the Government is very necessary and important, noting that there is still a situation where many things are talked about but not implemented, leading to stagnation.

The head of the Government pointed out the reality that in some localities, the announcement of the conclusions of the secretary and chairman are not fully implemented, only those that are beneficial to a department or district are done. “We must inspect, urge, name, set examples, praise, and strongly criticize so that words go hand in hand with actions… Leaders who do not inspect and urge are not leaders.”

Attending at Nghe An bridge point were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Previously, delegates listened to the leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment present a report on the implementation of Resolution 19 and Resolution 35 on improving the investment and business environment, supporting and developing enterprises; the Ministry of Justice reported on the review and removal of obstacles and shortcomings of current regulations on the investment and business environment, and social security policies; the Ministry of Science and Technology reported on the implementation results of Directive 16/CT-TTg on improving capacity to access the 4.0 technology revolution.

Next, Minister and Head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung reported on the results of administrative procedure reform, e-Government development and the activities of the Prime Minister's Working Group in 2017; the Government Inspector General reported on inspection work, handling complaints and denunciations and anti-corruption in 2017.

On the same afternoon, the conference also listened to speeches from leaders of several provinces and cities, reporting on outstanding results in the socio-economic development of localities as well as making recommendations to the Government and central agencies./.
